5th Annual Wild Oats Earth Day Run/Walk & Expo Next Month

Join us at the newest course in town and celebrate Earth Day!

For the past four years, The Center for ReSource Conservation has been celebrating Earth Day with a 5K run and expo at the CU Research Park. This year, we're excited to announce that the event will be moving, in partnership with Wild Oats, to the 29th Street Mall. As a result we'll have a shorter race (4K instead of 5) but a much larger expo and celebration for the community at large.

We hope you join us, whether it's as a runner, walker, sponsor, or just to drop by and check out the Earth Day Expo.

Race registration will be available at www.active.com in the next few weeks. For a list of sponsor and exhibitor opportunities visit our web site.

Speaking of Running...

CRC partner offers spring training opportunities galore.

FastForward Sports, Wild Oats Earth Day 4K sponsor and CRC training club of choice, is having its inaugural FastForward 4-Miler on Saturday March 24th at the Boulder Reservoir. The event is a time trial that is designed to kick off your spring training by revealing your current fitness, fine-tuning goals for the Bolder Boulder or other late spring races, and determining up-to-date training zones.

FastForward will also produce a spring training program for runners and aspiring runners looking to build endurance, strength, and speed. Meet runners of similar ability, and get expert coaching (from awesome people like Seth Portner, former CRC Operations Director), and get ready for races like the Wild Oats Earth Day 4K, the Cherry Creek Sneak, the Bolder Boulder, and the Arby's Rocky Mt. Half Marathon.

For more information about spring training with FastForward Sports visit www.fastforwardsports.net

Crazy Person Raises Money for the CRC

Frozen Dead Guy Days Polar Plunge Helps Kick the Oil Habit.

Local green-hearted activist, CRC supporter and mildly crazy person Lauralyn Sayah will jump into freezing water this weekend to raise money for the CRC at this weekend's 6th Annual Frozen Dead Guy Days in Nederland.

The Frozen Dead Guy Polar Plunge is a fundraiser; plungers choose a non-profit and raise money through individual pledges, sponsors, and a costume contest. You can support Lauralyn's "Kick the Oil Habit" themed plunge, and the CRC by sending a check directly to the CRC (1702 Walnut Boulder, CO 80302) or to Lauralyn Sayah (P.O. Box 693, Nederland, CO 80466) - write Polar Plunge on the memo line. You can also contact Lauralyn to wish her luck or to arrange a donation via e-mail. Thanks for the support Lauralyn (PS -you're nuts)!
