Conservation Friendly Holiday Gift Ideas
Everything from salvaged sky chairs to energy audits.
Your holiday gifts don't have to have a negative environmental impact. Consider the following ideas:
Give energy efficiency.
Need a gift for that special energy conscious someone (or someone who just needs a little push down the conservation path)? An energy audit makes a great gift. Contact our energy division for more info on giving the gift of an energy audit.
Give the gift of Water-Wise Beauty.
Do you know someone who is interested in xeric gardening that could use a hand getting started? The CRC offers pre-planned xeriscape gardens that come with the planting instructions, design, and plants. Contact our water division for more info on giving the gift of a xeric garden.
Give support.
Consider making a tax deductible donation to the CRC in the name the people on your list, or buy them a ticket to our Annual Awards Dinner and Auction.
Give waste reduction.
Don't forget about ReSource when you're doing your last minute shopping. Our inventory currently includes countless cabinets and doors, 30,000 square feet of concrete roof tile, and a variety of ReSource Woodworks items. NEW for the Holiday Season 2007 – you can now purchase ReSource gift cards. Check out photos of some of our items online.

The CRC needs a General Contractor
We are planning to move our office and need your help.
The CRC is moving its office in 2008! VaST high-performance architecture and green design is donating design services. Now we just need a contractor to round out the design team. We have a limited budge and plan to incorporate salvaged materials from the ReSource yard into the tenant finish of our new office. If you would like to be considered for the team, contact Keith to discuss the scope of the project. If you would like to be considered for the team, contact Keith (303-441-3278 ext. 14 or kdesrosiers@conservationcenter.org) to discuss the scope of the project.
Recycle Your Printer Cartridges at CRC
Make sure your cartridges are not being sent to developing countries
Millions of empty printer cartridges are sent to third world countries for disposal every year. This is having a devastating effect on the environment and people in these countries. Drop off your empty cartridges at the CRC office on 1702 Walnut Street in Downtown Boulder and purchase a ‘renewed’ cartridge from EcoGreenOffice and a portion of the proceeds will be returned to the CRC for our conservation efforts.
