How to Support CRC

Center for ReSource Conservation (CRC) opened its doors in 1976 and over the last 37 years have worked to empower our community to conserve natural resources. We execute a variety of programs through our Sustainability Program Division and our ReSource Division.

With your support, we achieved amazing results in 2012:

  • ReSource operations in Boulder and Fort Collins diverted 3,811,400 lbs. of materials from landfills.
  • Slow the Flow water audits allowed 2500 homeowners to conserve almost 5 million gallons of water.
  • ReNew Our Schools energy competition engaged 12,000 students on conservation and helped 13 schools to reduce their energy demand by 6.35% and awarded almost $100,000 of energy retrofits to local schools.
  • Garden In A Box provided 1300 local residents with gardens that converted 117,037 sq. ft. of land into xeriscape gardens, which reduced water use by 30% when compared to turf landscapes.

As a 501c3 with a social enterprise bent, we support many of our programs via revenues from the programs themselves. However, we do look to the community to supplement our operations through charitable donations. There are many ways to support us and our most urgent need is financial underwriting from businesses and individuals. We also love in-kind support, cars donated in our name, sponsorship of events, volunteers, donations of building materials to ReSource, and a variety of other community contributions. If you have any questions on how to best support us, please contact Alison Layman.
